Wow, the 2025 Subaru Outback, Uff Dah! The mightiest of the Subarus has finally been made. A true example of the engineering and the creativity that can come out of an automaker.
Ground Clearance Rules!
Well, what do we Minnesotans like about the all new 2025 Subaru Outback? Well for starters it has a 9.5 inch Ground clearance. This is not an SUV nor a car, but a CUV, yet is still boasts a giant clearance off the road. Why do we need this, I mean it is only little Minnesota right?
What the heck is X-Mode?
Thats right X-mode, I wanna push this button every time I see a flake of snow, even in July. No, kidding it only sometimes snows in April and May, maybe June here in Minnesota. Anyways, yeah, X-Mode is awesome. Combined with that 9.5 inch clearance, you are going to get your kid to Rochester for the Volleyball game! What you mean we have another hockey tournament in Bemidji, in January? No worries here, we want to drive in snow with the Outback, might even handle better!
X-Mode is standard on all trim levels and offers a new way of the vehicle to sense slippery conditions and adjust to the traction. You also get Hill Descent which is another way that the car will handle bad roads in snow, going down hill. Wow, this would be very helpful up in Lutsen or Duluth even, when I am on my way to the Skill hill up there ya you betcha.
3500 Pounds of Towing Power
Now what, we have to tow our new snowmobiles up to Grand Rapids this weekend for a snowmobile trip. No problem, just hook your trailer up to the new Subaru Outback, it can pull up to 3500 pounds no problem. Heck throw the auger and the fising gear on there as well, it can handle the extra weight. I could have never imaged an outback that could pull so much. I mean why wouldnt we go up north to sled when its 10 below, nothing else to do!
Ice fishing mode
…..umm kidding, but seriously, the amount of storage in the back of the new Subaru is ridiculous. I highly recommend an electric auger though so you dont spill gas in your brand new Outback! Yes it is wide enough to put an Otter sled flip over fish house in the back along with your poles and other gear. If there is enough ice, you will be able to get to that hard to reach spot in 2 feet of snow out there, just bring your phone, just in case.
Safety don cha know!
The 2025 Subaru Outback is one of the safest cars on the road. So many features that make the car great and a reputation to match. The electronics and radar that is installed in this car is ridiculous.
Radar, umm what?
All Around Awareness Technologies, wow that is a lot right there, but sounds safe! Seriously it is very awesome. The car has blind spot detection, Rear Cross Taffic Alert, A smart rear view mirror, and Home Link for backing up.
Rear Cross Taffic Alert and Reverse Automatic Braking
Ok this is great for when your kid is backing up and you dont have to yell to stop stop stop! This technology autamtically detect cars and poeple when backing up. Better yet, the Reverse Automatic Braking will stop the car even if you dont notice a car after the Rear Cross Traffic Alert goes off. Yes, no more yelling at the husband for backing out like they are missing a tee time.
Distraction Mitigaation System
Umm yeah thats a lot as well, but it sounds cool! The dash has been completely redesigned to help you not get distracted. Well we dont get too distracted from that, too many deer to look out for anyways here in Minnesota. Seriously though, this technology has facial recognition and can detect if you are sleepy or taking on your phone, or just being a Dad and being nosy looking at the neighbor’s yard. The system will alert you if you are too distracted. Not sure if it can detect if you are yapping too much about the hockey game or your neighbors hot dish, but still a great cool new technology!
Well, I have told you all a few things that I like about the all new 2025 Subaru Outback, what do you have to say about it, please leave comments below or post them on my Twitter page?
